Promotion!

Hello everyone! I apologize for my lack of updates, The Great One (Al’Adimus) shadowed my MantaRays satellite connection but I got it back now that I’ve finally arrived on Ka’Jasaq’ed (Arkadia). Now you may be wondering, “Lu, Why would you go back there, weren’t you re-assigned to Yolia?”. While you’re right, I specifically had to go back due to the fact that I’VE FINALLY BEEN MARKED! While yes, I will still hold my position at Yolia station, I now have finally moved up in ranks and got to be marked with the blood of my dead predecessors! While it was strange having it be done on Ka’Jasaq’ed it was still amazing to see the purple field of this wonderful moon. And the best part is I got to see some of my family there! They somehow got clear bed and left all the way from the MetroPlex to here which I find amazing in it if itself, they probably got some Gasonite connections. While I’m sad G’armi couldn’t make it he still got to see the video once it arrived to Xomatlan and sent me a video congratulating me which still warms my heart. I ended up choosing the more regal blue and gold colors for the ceremony which Alie and my ‘Am ended up liking and overall I’m simply just happy that I’ve made it this far to get my service mark. Now that it’s after the fact, while I keep the blood in my face? Yes. Will people probably be disgusted? Maybe, but I don’t care. Anyways, I gift you all with this photograph at the top which I took of the purple fields and the natural statue in the distance.

Brainstorming (Please Help!)

Okay, while I do intend to keep this page as professional as I can I do need some personal help right now. I'm trying to think of accent colors to apply to my coat for this outing I'm about to go on but I'm not sure weather I should aim for a more bright regal look with bright blood, gold, and copperish blue-green colors; Or a more deeper mid-blue color and a strong gold accent with a sort of "oasis in the desert" theme inspired by Nidhril-Gason royalty.

Strange Dream

Like the title suggests, I had this really strange and particular dream last night. I kept dreaming of some world that was cold, desolate and empty. It was almost like far Northern Regabash but the strangest thing was the lack of The Ring or a second moon. From there I had entered some strange tunnel that lead deep deep deep underground, I remember being scared as I saw piles upon piles of human like-dead figures before I eventually went in through a big series of doors and down a elevator shaft. Every second I felt like I was in fear and all my actions were out of my control. I remember every second screaming in my own head that I Had No Mouth I Must Scream. From there it all went blank and I remember waking up in a cold sweat after Alie slapped me awake because I was kicking her.

I think I'm gonna lay of the herbs from the temple for a bit.

Sorry (Not actually sorry, rhetorical statement)

While as Chief of Customs I usually do have to deal with different travelers and people docking or mooring into Section D9, today as particularly aggravating and very, very, VERY infuriating.

(Please be warned that I will be using very personal opinions)

So a Merchant Vessel bound to here from Caer Llan docked which isn't odd, correct. While I don't have any issue with Commonwealth starships crews, this particular group was instead VERY much the opposite of past crews who usually bring people with pleasantly colorful personalities. It all started when one of my officers told me they were having issues contacting the crew as they refused to allow mooring lines be used to hold their ship in place because it "would damage their electronics". While yes, the strong electro-magnets can damage things, they should have known that ahead of time as information on Yolia and union standard docking for ships of certain size and cargo must be docked outside of the maw. Yet, despite this being a common fact, the commonwealth crew STILL ARGUED WITH MY OFFICERS, EVEN DESPITE SENDING THE INFORMATION AGAIN AND AGAIN.

Obviously I was fed up at that point but still needed to remain professional as Chief, so I told then I would be willing to compromise if they allowed for drone ships to instead, deliver their supplies to them and if they wished to come onboard, they would just need to take a shuttle from their ship, to Yolia, which could be provided for free in this case as a act of hospitality. And yet, DESPITE, ALL THAT EFFORT, THAT CAPTAIN, HAS THE NERVE TO CALL ME A HAIRY NECKED SEED EATER. Now, while yes, I could have just hung up there and had the Attack Craft escort the mineral freighter away, I decided to just ignore his statement and tell him that a drone ship was coming to replenish his bought supplies and to have a "Wonderful Day". Obviously that was a lie as I had instead flagged his ship for piracy and they had to be searched by a boarding party (woopsie). Now while this does seem slightly in spite I will have you all know that under regulations I am allowed to flag a suspicious vessel and the captain hostility caused that clause to come into affect.

Anyways, regardless of that bad experience the day wasn't completely horrible, I got to greet Alie when she arrived on the station and go to dinner with her in the evening. And luckily, I will have the next 4 days to spend more quality time with her.

Homesick

While scrolling through my PDA I found this photo of an older part of my Family's Farm. Sometimes I regret choosing the Spacers Guild for my mandatory military service. I understand that I've gotten to see not only Arkadia, but Yolia and Kelumpan along with the other belt colonies, but something still feels empty in me, like I'm missing an entire chapter, or some core. When I have time off and can stare past the pressurized glass into space, I like to think that my cousin G'armi is staring off into the night sky and can somehow see me, and despite that being illogical it feels almost true. I really do miss Home.

Photo with a friend from 2179

While surfing my PDA's files I found this photo of me and my friend Alie during the Spacers Guilds launch of the Al'Nair Deep-Interstellar-Probe from the Kenkotlaxa Launch-System on the moon Ka'Jasaq'ed (Arkaida for Non-Union members). I remember getting intoxicated on Root Syrup the day of with Alie and thinking that the rocktets flames were burning blue (Its actually orange due to a new chemical compound but our eyes perceived it as blue). Regardless of the unprofessional behavior in the I had fun and hope I can be with Alie in person again.

Day Off Experience

Today was a very interesting day. Following me waking up from the cities morning call and realizing that I was off today I decided to tend to my small garden. However as I got my sandals on and walked out to my roof I was quickly met with an abrupt change of weather within the habitat.

Not only did it begin to swiftly rain cold water all of a sudden, lightning strikes began to occur, echoing throughout the entire habitat. It was very strange since I had only witnesses this back Home during the storm season in Xomatlan.

While I do understand that the point of the engineers building the para-terraformed sections was to have the experience and similar environment which I am glad they had done in the early to mid 46th century (22nd for non Union members) , I never expected it being able to support full on storms. Of course I later found out it was only due a sudden amount of static electricity being released it was still a welcoming experience that made me once again appreciate the meteorological chaos back home.
